I bought this replacement stylus for my Shure V15 Type 4 cartridge in September 2020. I am very satisfied with the sound quality. My records sound fresh, detailed, yet warm and musical. It is a pleasure to play records again. I am using the cartridge on a Technics SL-1200MK5 turntable. The amplifier I am using is a Rotel RA-1570 and the speakers are by Elipson, type 1303 FT from 1990. I ordered the needle from the JICO website online from the Netherlands, but unfortunately had to pay € 51 extra customs costs. Still, I will order this replacement stylus again next time, despite the extra cost. This replacement stylus makes my Shure V15 Type 4 cartridge sound like new again. Highly recommended if you own a Shure V15 Type 4 cartridge.
I have been using an SAS stylus with boron cantilever for over a year now. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. It will track anything I own flawlessly, It sounds magnificent, I also have an SAS in my M97xe With a sapphire cantilever. It is great also, but I prefer the boron because it is much more rugged.
After reading about the SAS product on several audio forums, I decided to give the VN45HE SAS a try. I am truly amazed at the realism of the sound produced by the Shure V15 Type IV with this stylus. The real potential of the cartridge is realized with this stylus. Amazing and absolutely worth the investment. Thank you JICO! I will be ordering more of these in the future for my other cartridges.
Wow I am in awe of what this has done to my vinyl collection. Getting old so I won't swear to it but i would say it is as good as the original if not better. Thank you JICO.
My Shure V15 type 4 cartridge from 1978 is new again! I finally retired my last, original Shure stylus and replaced it with this beautiful mechanism. It is more than worthy of the V15 legacy. This finely crafted replacement leaves nothing to be desired - either in fit and finish - or in sound quality. My concerns about the importance of the original beryllium shank have drifted away, overshadowed by rich, cleanly separated sound consistently reproduced through this superior instrument. Treat yourself (and your vinyl) to one of these. Enjoy.
You will have again your original V15IV equipment and a lot more!!!!!!!!!
