Super Analog Stylus (SAS) Profile Tip
The tip of the Super Analog Stylus is carefully chosen from single-crystal natural diamonds. The laser-cut diamond closely resembles that of the cutting stylus used on a cutting lathe to produce the acetate master disks used in vinyl production. This allows the SAS tip to reach into the deepest recesses of the record groove in order to retrieve details which were previously inaccessible to other stylus profiles. Due to its wide contact area with the groove wall, the SAS can reproduce a more expansive bandwidth of information with higher fidelity.
Cantilever
is one of the most suitable materials for cantilevers. its density is low, Young’s modulus is large, and the speed of sound propagation is approximately 2.6 times faster than that of aluminum. Due to the characteristics above, boron cantilever can more precisely trace the information contained in the record grooves than aluminum cantilever.
There is NO interchangeability between VN5MR and VN5xMR. Please confirm your cartridge / stylus number and select suitable stylus.

I don’t speak english very well, sorry. Original MR Shure is 3,8 micron, the JICO SAS is 2,5 micron, like Van den Hul. The boron cantilever is probably higher than Shure beryllium. Boron is thinner. Properties of boron & beryllium are similar, better than cheap aluminium. The magnet is more powerful than original Shure. JICO SAS says to me that lateral & vertical compliance are 15 dyne (original are respectively 13 & 11). So, I can’t believe that original Shure would be comparable or better than this superb JICO SAS. Thanks a lot, continue to make this excellent stylus.

Believe what you read about this Jico stylus. It is superb beyond all belief. If you have the Shure cartridge body lying around, buy this stylus now and hear the vintage Shure sound like a multi-thousand dollar moving coil. The tracking is superb. Really, buy this now. It’s that good.

Excellent Quality Replacement Stylus. Sound is slightly less Dynamic than the original Stylus, but tracking is comparable. Slightly more silky & smooth than the non SAS-replacement.
