Super Analog Stylus (SAS) Profile Tip
The tip of the is carefully chosen from single-crystal natural diamonds. The laser-cut diamond closely resembles that of the cutting stylus used on a cutting lathe to produce the acetate master disks used in vinyl production. This allows the SAS tip to reach into the deepest recesses of the record groove in order to retrieve details which were previously inaccessible to other stylus profiles. Due to its wide contact area with the groove wall, the SAS can reproduce a more expansive bandwidth of information with higher fidelity.
Cantilever
is one of the most suitable materials for cantilevers. its density is low, Young’s modulus is large, and the speed of sound propagation is approximately 2.6 times faster than that of aluminum. Due to the characteristics above, boron cantilever can more precisely trace the information contained in the record grooves than aluminum cantilever.

Excellent stylus replacement for Garrott P77 or similar. Solid bass, clean mids and shimmering highs. Tracks +16dB bass drum at 1.2g in Grace G-707 with no audible mistracking.
Two provisos however when used with the P77 generator:
1. the cantilever is shorter and recessed further back than that on the P77. The shorter boron cantilever is in itself a good thing – however it was not possible to achieve the 15mm overhang necessary for correct alignment in the G-707. This was corrected by modifying the cartridge mount and all is now good.
2. the fit of the stylus assembly into the generator is a little “sloppy”. However a small blob of magic Garrott Bros red plasticene between the cartridge and the stylus assembly resolved this.
All in all – a superb sounding and tracking substitute for the original Garrott P77 stylus. Highly recommended!

Read somewhere online that this stylus would fit my Garrott P77,which has been waiting for a new stylus for years now.. Decided to take a chance, and ordered one.
I’m very delighted to say it does fit and it sounds marvellous.A lot better tracking, more detail and a sweet top end like the original stylus.
Even better than the ones I got for my Shure V15/3 and Stanton 881s.But that’s the cartridge helping there,of course.
I will be getting another as a spare!
The genuine stylus from Australia is A$455.00,and this one cost me NZ$155.00.Very happy with it.
