   Excellent stylus for 881 -a little brighter than original – but retains the originals excellent trackability and awesome separation and imaging. A pleasure.
   First order direct from JICO and I’m very happy with the service – about 10 days for delivery

   I was curious about the Stanton 881 and was able to get one for free but it had some kind of generic stylus in it that didn’t track anything correctly so I ordered the Jico stylus. I have no reference as to how it compares to the original Stereohedron stylus but the Jico 881shibata stylus is not lacking in any noticeable way and I have to say that it with the Stanton 881 makes for a top notch MM cartridge regardless of the cartridge age. (1970’s)

   With the original Sterohedron styli for the 881S becoming rare as hen’s teeth, with sky-rocketing prices to boot, I’m grateful that Jico has come out with this very worthy alternative. The Shibata stylus on the 881S cartridge body allows the 881S to make its old magic again. In fact, the Jico stylus, while not as warm as the original D81S, has great balance, a wider sound stage, and reproduces the frequency extremes as well as, or possibly better than, the D81S.

   If your original Stanton or Pickering stylus is giving out, don’t hesitate to give this Jico alternative a try.
